Our Alumni

These are schools that have successfully completed the Starting Chance three- to four-year programme of intensive support. Upon completion, they are invited to join our Alumni Programme, where they continue to benefit from limited but meaningful support. This includes practitioner training opportunities, school resources such as Mandela Packs and book donations, as well as parent support workshops.

Beyond receiving support, Alumni Schools play an important role as mentors for new entry schools at the Training of Teachers in Township (TTinT) level, helping to strengthen peer learning and collaboration within our community.

The Alumni Programme is coordinated by the Starting Chance team with the dedicated support of Meryl Fourie.
