Starting Chance hosts its 10th Annual General Meeting
On 21 June 2025, Starting Chance held its 10th Annual General Meeting at Medway Community Church in Plumstead. The event brought together partners, beneficiaries, staff, and the Board of Trustees, both locally and internationally, to celebrate a decade of impact and growth.

The AGM provided a meaningful opportunity for Starting Chance to reflect on its journey over the past 10 years, while also setting out a clear vision for the future. With its programmes and footprint expanding, the organisation reaffirmed its commitment to scaling up impact, deepening partnerships, and reaching more children, practitioners, and families in the years ahead.

Starting Chance CALM Framework accredited by SACE
Starting Chance is proud to announce that its Classroom and Learning Management (CALM) Framework has been officially accredited by the South African Council of Educators (SACE).
The accreditation of the 0–3 years CALM Training, which was approved during Mandela Month in July 2025, follows the earlier approval of the 4–6 years CALM Training in November 2024.
This milestone represents a significant step forward in the professionalization of early childhood education in South Africa, ensuring that practitioners working with young children are equipped with structured, high-quality training that supports effective teaching and learning in low-income communities.
