At Starting Chance Tessa works on a voluntary basis as a policy officer, assists in getting the Lonwabo staff ready for their new school, and provides computer training. Tessa holds a masters degree in Human Rights from Maastricht University and a masters degree in Justice and Transformation from the University of Cape Town. Having always believed in the power and importance of education, in 2018 she started working in early childhood development, at a children’s centre focusing on the rich and competent child. She has the strong belief that it all starts with the children and their education; it builds and improves a society from the ground up and provides it with a strong basis.
