Arjan visited us in South Africa a few years ago and was involved in one of our former projects. When I sent him the challenge he was delighted to do something. He decided he was going to cycle every day to work and back – some 100kms! Greasing up his bike and training helped him to raise awareness for our cause and soon he managed to persuade a local hotel school to donate proceeds every Tuesday night to Starting Chance. Arjan also raised media interest and appeared in several newspapers and even on the radio! All money raised was donated to Starting Chance.
